3 weeks early and she gave me and Kathy some more grey hairs but she is here and healthy.

Of course my video camera is broken so you are stuck with good old fashioned pics.

She was born at 11.38am and is just 4lbs 11oz, but she is doing fine and Kathy feels much better.
She did ask whether I was going to lose my belly overnight as well but I don’t think so.

I will do a more detailed explanation of it all if I find the emotional strength, for now I am just glad that mother and baby are healthy.

If anyone is needing any support with anything, sorry I am going to be a bit hit and miss for a couple of days.

Apparently John Travolta is well known for putting on weight when his wife was pregnant with each of their children.

Well I now feel I am in good company..

Kathy has just measured my waist and I am the same size as Kathys sister in law..

Who is pregnant with twins and is 8 months along!

This has scared me so much that I am off to Denny’s for breakfast in the morning with Kathys boss..

Super Grand Slam anyone?

This last couple of weeks have been really good, my mum has been here on holiday from the UK.

We all went out to eat a lot and also went to look at lots of baby this and baby that, Just to top it off I felt the baby kick properly for the first time.

Women are amazing, it made me jump just feeling the kick and Kathy is laughing, She has a little Alien inside her trying to control the way she sleeps by kicking if she lays on the wrong side and she laughs..

I always laughed when my mum said the human race would die out if it relied on men to have babies, now I think she may have a point..lol

I reckon that baby kick has cost me $100.. we were so excited about it.. ok I was .. that we went out and did some more shopping..lol

This is my first post in the Baby Corner so I hope I don’t bore you to much.

We just went for our first scan and we are having a daughter!

The Dr said she was kicking so much that she was going to be a soccer player (which is what the Americans call football).. this made me laugh as I had been making disparaging comments a week ago about girls soccer, Kathy assures me that my feelings on that will change when it is my daughter playing..lol

I was talking to my friend Brian on skype about the costs of having a baby in the USA and he came up with a idea..

Do a eBay auction where the winner gets to name our daughter..

Kathy doesn’t seem to want to be too keen on the idea but it is something to think about for sure..

We went out and did some window shopping last night for car seats, strollers etc..

One of the many things I love about my wife is that she won’t buy anything over about $50 without looking for the best deal, so today she is online looking at consumer reports and reading peoples comments about various strollers and car seats.

I expect we will get a lot of it online, for no other reason than the ease of it all and it usually works out a bit cheaper as well.

Ok I better go do some work, I will post something more Internet marketing related later ..
