My wife loves shopping online, we have a young baby and we have just moved into a house that needs some work so there is always something to do. She doesn’t want to spend time going from one shop to another looking for things like the huge play pen we just got.
So she shops online, ebay, amazon, wal-mart etc are her stomping grounds usually. Now when you go to Wal Marts site you can either have the item delivered to the store or pay for shipping and get it delivered to your home.
Normally she will get it shipped to the store and then drive the 5 miles to the store and pick the item up.

Now gas is $4+ a gallon here she is starting to look at the delivery charge as not so bad. By the time you factor in the cost of the gas (especially since it is so hot here now that she has the air con running which seems to suck up the juice) and the time factor then the $9 or even $15 doesn’t seem so bad for delivery after all.

My wife is not out of the ordinary I am sure, she is a very normal web surfer, so if she is thinking like this how many others are.
This isn’t just a Wal mart thing:-
Books- if you know what books you want why drive across town to Barnes and Noble when you can go to Amazon and get free shipping if you order enough. Instead of spending $5 worth of gas, buy another book.

While you will probably always have to drive to the store for food, just about anything else could work out cheaper for people to get shipped direct to their house.

The expression is When you have lemons make lemonade, well it applies as much as it does offline.

About once a month someone contacts me with the best offer ever.
They are going to sell millions of units of my latest software, or they want to partner on something.
The sales usually require that I give them a free copy and 99.9% of the time when I ask questions about their list or their membership site or anything else they never come back to me.

When someone wants me to be a partner what they usually mean is that they want me to pay for the item to be made and sell it into my list and then share the income with them.

I used to get so excited when someone contacted me about just about anything, 3 years of working online has made me very jaundiced about people. Most are looking for a quick million, very few are looking for work that pays, but with no work there is no real income.

So when someone contacts you about just about anything take it with a pinch of salt, and don’t agree to anything at all.

Have a nice long weekend everyone.

Today I got a email from someone who is doing his friend a favor, now online is no different to offline we have friends and if they are in trouble we try and help them.

This email was basically saying that the person needed to make $40 so he could pay his hosting!
$40..

Now someone else I know recently had a huge medical bill come in and asked for some help as he had already sunk everything he had into a project. It is different asking for help with a $3k medical bill than for a $40 hosting bill.

I am pretty sure I could send a email to my list today doing a 24 hour special on one or another of my products and make $40 without to much trouble. But would I tell them I was in such dire financial crap that I needed to basically beg them to buy something so I could pay my hosting bill (which is a lot more than $40 a month by the way)..no I wouldn’t.

I am sure it is the amount that is bothering me rather than the fact that he asked for help, $40 just seems such a small amount to not be able to find, if you are working online and have a list and your own products there is no reason you should ever be in that level of need.

Maybe it is some marketing ploy that I am not aware of, it sure does seem to be happening more and more, a bit like the “i sent you the wrong link” or “my server melted” emails that are everywhere these days.

Ok rant over, if you know why these emails are appearing more often let me know, maybe I will have to start using it..lol

I have finally managed to hook up my PC , moving house is far to much hard work and it sure does take up some time, and all I seem to be hearing about is Hubpages.

Apparently you can earn money on Hubpages and it is a good place to get links.

I KNOW THIS..

I worked last year with a guy to produce a excellent video and PDF guide to hubpages, he has just sent me a totally updated version of it as well so we are not talking about something that is behind the curve.

It is really beginning to feel like the “gurus” are purposefully not mentioning stuff, or maybe they are just behind the curve. I do know that I see some well known names buy my stuff and then release their own tool/product. I suppose I should see this as a compliment..

Ok rant over, back to unpacking!
