Today I got a email from someone who is doing his friend a favor, now online is no different to offline we have friends and if they are in trouble we try and help them.

This email was basically saying that the person needed to make $40 so he could pay his hosting!
$40..

Now someone else I know recently had a huge medical bill come in and asked for some help as he had already sunk everything he had into a project. It is different asking for help with a $3k medical bill than for a $40 hosting bill.

I am pretty sure I could send a email to my list today doing a 24 hour special on one or another of my products and make $40 without to much trouble. But would I tell them I was in such dire financial crap that I needed to basically beg them to buy something so I could pay my hosting bill (which is a lot more than $40 a month by the way)..no I wouldn’t.

I am sure it is the amount that is bothering me rather than the fact that he asked for help, $40 just seems such a small amount to not be able to find, if you are working online and have a list and your own products there is no reason you should ever be in that level of need.

Maybe it is some marketing ploy that I am not aware of, it sure does seem to be happening more and more, a bit like the “i sent you the wrong link” or “my server melted” emails that are everywhere these days.

Ok rant over, if you know why these emails are appearing more often let me know, maybe I will have to start using it..lol

I have finally managed to hook up my PC , moving house is far to much hard work and it sure does take up some time, and all I seem to be hearing about is Hubpages.

Apparently you can earn money on Hubpages and it is a good place to get links.

I KNOW THIS..

I worked last year with a guy to produce a excellent video and PDF guide to hubpages, he has just sent me a totally updated version of it as well so we are not talking about something that is behind the curve.

It is really beginning to feel like the “gurus” are purposefully not mentioning stuff, or maybe they are just behind the curve. I do know that I see some well known names buy my stuff and then release their own tool/product. I suppose I should see this as a compliment..

Ok rant over, back to unpacking!

I have a site that gets large amounts of page views but the ctr is awful and i mean awful.
It was so bad that it was bringing down the rest of my adsense earnings , In the end I just took adsense of the site and tried some other things.
Now the site is a labor of love , but it would be nice to earn a few bucks from it if possible.
Someone mentioned
The Rubicon Project
They basically give you some code to put on your pages and they serve the ads, they don’t just do Adsense, at the moment my site has 5 different networks rotating through the ad space.

Yes they take a % or else why would they do it, but if they can measure and change the ads around to display whatever works best and I am finally getting at least something from the site then I am happy.

We all go straight to adsense because it is so darned easy, but maybe using rubicon is a good adsense alternative?

I was talking to a friend of mine last night, he lives in Brazil so we were chatting on Skype.
The discussion went from shopping carts to making money online.

“Maybe I should sell some of this stuff I have PLR for that is sitting on my hard drive”

I then mentioned some software I have that I never quite get round to doing videos etc for and selling.

Are we all siting around wondering how to earn money while we actually have exactly what we need on our hard drives already?
Think added value, so if you have MRR to a book, record a voiceover (or pay someone else to do it) and then sell the product to your customers or sell resale rights to it.
Bundle 3 or 4 of them together as a upsell.

I have no one to sell it to..
Well take some of it and produce a teaser product and give it away to build a list.

Instead of looking for “it wont work” reasons look for “It will make $$$$$$” ideas.

Do a WSO of the resale product (make sure you can prove you have MRR and have changed the package substantially, like rewriting and adding a voice version).
Contact someone else who is doing a WSO that doesnt compete with yours and offer to mention their offer in your confirmation emails if they will do the same for you.
On the download page , offer the buyer discount coupons for your other products.

There is money out there you just need to help people make the step to giving it over to you.
